on another note... staying VEGAN!

The last month I have switched my diet from 100% Vegan to Vegetarian. I have been consuming egg-whites, tuna, whey protein and mahi mahi. The change has really made me feel bloated, unhappy with my meal plans and confused. I chose to change my diet based on what another personal trainer had advised me to do.going in to this new diet wasn't "hard" for me... Surprisingly. But after eating this way for a few weeks and seeing the negative change on my body and performance level, I know being strictly Vegan is the optimal diet for me!!
I'm proud to be Vegan and want to end the year with my New Years Challenge being 100% Vegan. I feel I have some learning to do as far as weight training and Veganism, but this is something I'm ready to do :))
I'm more than enthusiastic with my decision and am starting Vegan TODAY!!!
I'll be adding more posts with my high impact weight training vegan diet to share what I know and what I've learned!!!

Cheers!

That's awesome news, M. So happy for you! :)

G has been upping his protein shakes (vegan) daily and we've been eating mostly Raw (green juices, green smoothies, raw pastas, salads, raw desserts, dips, etc) along with a little bit of cooked here and there, but it's really just small bits, and an occasional chipotle vegan burrito (beans for protein). He's working out super hard. Well, the verdict, he's kicking ass and gaining muscle, looks and feels great.

Cheers XOXO,
Kristen

I have been feeling the same way..have not been eating very vegan at all and want to get back to it..amazing how food can make your body feel..lets stick together..I love quinoa..have you tried the red quinoa it's really yummy..its hard to eat this way sometimes when i am the cook in the family and they do not want to eat the way i do at all..I have become to realize that the choices either good or bad that I make are because I am afraid of failing and success..makes no sense at all huh..I just need to do what I want and need to do to make myself feel good..easier said than done but a work in progress thanks for being there for me..are you still going with shakeology...LOVE YINS

Krista, it's fine to eat differently then the rest of the family, i find that it's very simple to turn practically any meal from a non-vegan meal to a vegan meal. when i make chicken for Ryan, I make veggie patties for the girls and i with steamed veggies and brown rice... or whey protein shakes for Ryan and Vega shakes for me. you just got know what you want... I had to make the decision to remove the egg-whites and whey from my diet because it wasn't in my heart. I feel so much better now that I don't consume it.
I love you tons!!! I'm here for you!!

LOve you and Kristen very much!!!

I love the info i have learned from Tim ( Running Raw) and the protein myth. I do truly believe the protein is the middle man its the amino acids our body needs. M check out the Sunwarrior raw vegan "protein" shakes we love them!
